These ceramic brooches are made by Adomas Simikaitis, an artist who works in a small town in central Lithuania. They are painted using the sgraffito technique, which involves scratching patterns and pictures with a thin needle. Adomas's keen observational eye, who sketches Lithuanian herbs and flowers every day, seems to be expressed in the small canvas of the brooch.
