She builds a wood-fired kiln in the garden of her home in a residential neighbourhood of Vilnius, where she makes her pottery. There is an atelier on the property, but it's the kitchen where the glazing work flows most freely, she says. Drawing on years of research into ancient ceramics and inspiration from excavated historical pieces, she has developed a distinctly personal style. Her study of Japanese anagama kilns is a particular focus — she has traveled back and forth to Shimane to build one and create work there. Her everyday vessels are functional and full of quiet vitality. The small cups fired in the gaps of the kiln spark the imagination: sake, a little something to snack on, a condiment here or there.

首都ヴィリニュスの住宅街にある自宅の庭に薪窯をつくり、作陶をしています。敷地内にアトリエもありますが、絵付けの作業が捗るのはもっぱらキッチンだとか。古くからの陶芸を研究していて、出土した古来の陶器からインスピレーションを得て独特の作風を生み出しています。日本の穴窯の研究は特に力を入れていて実際に日本と行き来しながら島根に穴窯をつくり、作品制作をしています。日々のための器は使い勝手がよく、活き活きとした魅力があります。窯の中の隙間を利用して焼かれた小さなカップは、お酒に薬味におつまみにと活躍の場の想像が膨らみます。
